Week 16 Premier News

Wins for all the big four this week means it is as you were at the top of the league.  Chelsea continued to look the most impressive with a routine win over Bolton.  Arsenal and Liverpool were not convincing once again and Man Utd left it very late against a plucky Sunderland when the ball luckily fell to Vidic in the area after rebounding off the post.   Aston Villa also kept in touch with the leaders with an impressive result away to injury plagued Everton.
Sunderland are without a manager after Roy Keane walked out of the club this week.  With the club in the bottom three, Keane’s decision to leave at the first sign of trouble maybe a good thing for the club who may now look for an experienced campaigner to try and steer them clear of relegation.  Sam Allardyce is the name being touted by many and the Sunderland support also seem keen despite his recent employment.
Tottenham continued to pick up points and climb away from trouble with a win at West Ham, who are now looking of their shoulders nervously.  Hull continued to defy the critics with another win keeping them in a lofty 6th place.  Elsewhere a more stable Newcastle were denied 3 pts by a late Stoke equaliser and Manchester City could only pick up a point away from home to Fulham putting pressure on Mark Hughes to buy big in the transfer window.
