Week 9 Premier News
Back to league action after the World Cup qualifiers.
Not much change at the top, however Man Utd, after a bad start by their standards are now looking to get it together with Rooney showing us the maturity that will be needed for them to close the gap on Chelsea and Liverpool. It looks like an exciting title chase!
Arsenal again struggled a little before winning comfortably on paper and the next couple of games will be crucial to their season.
Three no score draws in the league was a bit of a disappointment for their respective fans but it shows how close the majority of the teams are in the middle of the tables’ killing grounds.
At the bottom no real change, Tottenham now have it all to do to survive the next two relegation places. It will take until Christmas to sort itself out.
It seems to be all very quiet on the club ownership and management front, perhaps the credit crunch is keeping things at bay and to be honest there is the little matter of actually playing football to keep everybody’s attention.
Will clubs have the money to go spending in January? Chelsea and Man City will but what about the rest? |
